How to Fix a Roof Leak in One Spray

With the weather getting more unpredictable than ever before, even your newest roofs can find its weak points earlier than expected. Global warming is yet another issue, but it has affected so much on our weather that I have nothing else to blame my leaking roof to the bad weather.

Doing it All Alone

Studying in the city away from my family in the countryside has been a challenge for me ever since. It took me at least a year to get to know how to deal with stuff from school to the streets and even in the household all by myself. I can’t call my father or brother from miles away just to help me put up something heavy or anything like that. I thought everything is under control until I encountered a household problem I can only imagine I would do myself- how to fix a roof leak!

It was a whole week with a very bad weather. The sun didn’t even peaked once that week and it was with much difficulty to get up from bed and walk myself to school with rain pouring all over the city. It was with more difficulty upon realizing that my bathroom roof is leaking and is now having a black wet halo in the white-painted ceiling. It was like a scene from a horror Japanese movie I’ve seen a few years back. It was just horrible! Having to think all over again, I realized it was probably my roof giving in from a week of bad weather. The wind is blowing too strong and the rain is pouring too hard all week.

Who to Call

Since my family is miles away and of course I couldn’t just call them up to help me fix this minor problem. As I walked to school that wet morning, I was almost hopeless in thinking of ways to fix my bathroom roof. Calling for a handyman needs reservations and it hurts to spend a big amount of money from my allowance to pay for the work.

I surfed the internet that morning and found some pages referring to flex seal as a liquid rubber sealant that is just a click away from ordering delivered straight to my door. This is the perfect answer to my problem but I was hesitant if this product really works.

Easy and Effective to Use

On the weekend they delivered straight to my door, I took some time examining the product and reading more articles on how to fix a roof leak. I find it hard to believe that flex seal claims being effective and being so easy to apply. I haven’t seen this product before because I was only familiar with those sealants packed from a big container requiring you to mix them up first before lathering them on the roof. This product is different, completely genius! I just have to spray them on the leaking part and it claims to seal them right away.

I called up my neighbor who was willing to lend me a helping hand that time. I probably looked so desperate that moment, maybe even teary-eyed. Both of us climbed up to the roof and read the instructions all over again. We were very nervous and excited when I started spraying flex seal to the hole in my roof. We were literally caught up in awe with how flex seal cleanly spread on the part of the roof we aimed and easily dried to a rubbery feel. It was rubber being melted and spread on carefully but it came from an easy spraying bottle which is very convenient to use. We allowed the first coat to dry and came back the following day to place the final coat. The first coat works good already but we still placed a second coat to make sure.

Simply Amazing Product

How to fix a roof leak is easy breezy now with flex seal. It was the perfect answer to my problem on a leaky roof and many more. I also tried it with my car. There was a part near the wheel, a part that functions as a mud guard was broken and it needed something to fill the gaps in between the rubber. I thought I’d try flex seal since they look like the same material. It tried to spray a little amount first and the whole mud guard looked fixed. I carefully sprayed all over the thing so they would look similar and uniform and it looked flawless!

I am just so thankful I found out about flex seal and it really solved more than just my roof problem. It is now my everyday companion for anything that goes broken. What an amazing product.
